You will need: Intel-based Mac computer with Mac OS X 10.5.5 or later, Internet connection, IPhone GUI Photoshop Template, Notebook, Pencil, iPhone stencil kit (optional)
1. Sketch your app. Each page should be sketched out on a different piece of paper in your notebook. Make sure that you pay attention to the size of different elements that will be on the screen. (The iPhone Stencil Kit can be used to sketch iPhone prototypes on paper.)Text choices, navigational schemes and how pages will link are key considerations.
2. Download iPhone GUI Photoshop Template (if you don't have it already.) Use this to draw up the screens. This is where you will begin actually designing your app. Use the notebook pages as your guide.
3. Submit your application to Apple Store. You will need to create your certificates, define your App IDs, make your distribution provisioning profile, complete the application and, finally, upload to iTunes Connect.
4. Promote your app. Make it simple for a user to post information from your app to social media sites like Twitter or Facebook. (This is key.) You can also set up a fan page for the app on Facebook and Twitter. Make it so your users can give feedback.
5. And this is the most importants step, Don't give up! If your app seems to disappear and not get any buzz, it probably wasn't thought out well enough. Keep trying! Research how that idea could have been better executed. Go back to your notebook and find the glitches, and be sure to pay attention to any feedback you have received.
